About Us
Plant, Build & Restore inspires and ignites collaboration and action by building social capital in Black communities through curated experiences, resources & connections.
There is currently a total difference of $240,120 in wealth between the median white household and the median Black household in America.
We’re on a mission to change that.
We believe that collaboration drives innovation and transformation, so we curate in-person experiences, online resources, and content that builds social capital and sparks collaboration, to ultimately make it easier to impact and advance Black communities.
Mission.
We are on a mission to decrease the wealth gap between Black Americans and counterparts, and to empower our partners and community members with the resources, connections and confidence to diminish disparities and inequalities.
Vision.
We envision a world where Black communities around the world are joyous, well-resourced, and harmoniously interconnected. In this world, history is a well-utilized source of knowledge and inspiration, culture is a connective thread that sparks ingenuity and transformation, and the community is continuously and collaboratively fueled by justice and innovation.
OUR PROGRAMS
know us
We convene multi-day experiences in collaboration with local partners to spark collaboration & action. Through guided tours, conversations & activations surrounding the history, culture & progress of a city’s Black community, we intentionally connect partners, community members, & national attendees.
Plant, Build & Restore Passport
We curate resources, organizations and opportunities that make it easier to engage with a community. Our virtual format, and upcoming physical passport book will drive inspiration, connection, and impact across communities nationally.
connect calls
We facilitate ‘connect calls’ among organization leaders and practitioners among similar verticals across various geographies and disciplines, and encourage thoughtful dialogue, collaboration, and shared progress.
